How I met

Before joining SHIFT ASIA, I was an AI engineer at a startup in Tokyo, Japan. My main focus was applying object detection to autonomous driving and automatically controlled robots in trash processing factories. I decided to return to Vietnam to spend more time with my family and to focus on developing my career at a dynamic IT outsourcing company like SHIFT ASIA. It turned out to be one of my best decisions as I see my potential career path at SHIFT ASIA.

My daily routine revolves around a few key areas. First, there’s project management – I check in with team members to get updates on their tasks, keep an eye on the schedule, tweak things as needed, and join our daily meetings.

Then, there’s business analysis, where I dig into new requirements, estimate what’s needed for both existing and potential clients, and figure out how to make it all work. I also spend time on internal research, keeping up with the latest tech trends—especially AI—and exploring how we can turn those into fresh business opportunities.

Finally, as the manager of the projects, I focus on group management and mentoring, helping team members sharpen their skills to match the company’s vision while supporting their own career goals.

Message for you Message

I understand that some people might feel hesitant about joining smaller companies like SHIFT ASIA (with fewer than 500 employees), and that’s completely understandable. However, companies like ours offer unique opportunities for those who want to make a significant impact.

My first piece of advice is to understand the type of company you want to be a part of. Big companies and small companies differ in many ways, each with its own set of pros and cons. If you aim to join a smaller company, be prepared to contribute actively, drive changes, and be an integral part of those changes.
