On September 16, 2024, SHIFT ASIA, a leading Software Quality Assurance and testing company, was proudly certified for ISO/IEC 27001 for the second time! This achievement is a statement of our commitment to maintaining and continually improving information security and data protection.

What is ISO/IEC 27001?

ISO/IEC is an international benchmark for information security management systems (ISMS). It defines the requirements an ISMS must meet and provides companies of all sizes with standard practices for establishing, implementing, maintaining, and continually improving an ISMS.

We previously obtained the ISO/IEC 27001:2013 certification, demonstrating our long-standing dedication to information security. With the latest ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certification, we reaffirm our commitment to safeguarding client data, reflecting the evolving global standards in information security management.

The 2022 update of ISO/IEC 27001 incorporates the latest advancements in information security and adapts to the evolving threat landscape with several key modifications. The new version focuses on risk management and emphasizes identifying, evaluating, and mitigating information security risks. This revision also aligns more closely with other ISO standards, such as ISO 31000 for risk management and ISO 22301 for business continuity management. Additionally, the updated standard offers greater flexibility in documentation requirements, simplifying implementing and maintaining an organization’s Information Security Management System (ISMS). Finally, it underscores the critical role of leadership in implementing and sustaining the ISMS.
